We had an IUI and once they insert the sperm they just have you lay still on the table 10 minutes, so obviously legs up doesn't matter. They don't ask that I put my legs up but the bed I'm on does get propped up and they ask me to lay there for 15 minutes. I've read from doctors that it's not necessary, but you should lay still a bit before getting up. With that said, there are clearly lots of folks here who did it and who knows, maybe it did help! It certainly wouldn't hurt, and could help you feel like you're doing everything you can to get pregnant. I propped myself up on pillows so my hips were at an incline, kept my knees up and together, and stayed in bed for at least 20-30 minutes. I got pregnant on the second cycle, so maybe it worked!
