I never regretted testing early. I always wanted to know right away, the not knowing is what killed me. And I was lucky enough to get a positive at 10DPO. I'm so glad I didn't wait until later :).

I tested at 11 dpo and i got my first positive.... wanna know whats worse than the 2 week wait? the 5 week wait until my OB would see me first my first appt and then the next 3 weeks after that waiting for the 1st ultrasound. I almost wonder if being blissfully unaware for a few more days would have been easier.

@babycanuck: Amazon. I bought a 25 pack for less than $10 I think. Make sure to get the pregnancy test, not the OPK (unless you want both, just be sure to read the description).

where do you get wondfos? I've never heard of these - they may not have them over here. I did manage to find OPK tests at Dollar Tree (loving that they came to Canada) but did not look for POAS.

I tested way too early but knew it, so even though I had a moment of "womp womp" when it was negative, I also told myself "duh, you know it's too early" so I can't say it was a feeling of regret. I got my first very faint line at about 12 DPO and then a definite line the next day (not sure exactly which day I ovulated).
Good luck to you!!!

I sorta regretted testing early yesterday when i saw a squinter of a line and knew i was going to drive myself crazy until the line gets dark enough for my peace of mind, but I'm really glad i found out early, because I would have drank some wine last night (just a glass, but still) and i have plans to go out tonight too...so i would've felt really guilty if i went out drinking for 2 nights and then got my BFP, lol.

I've never regretted using the wondfos early, but i've felt kinda silly when they come back stark white!

See even though, logically, I know it's too early it always crushes me when I see the negative anyway. It's best to keep that feeling to just once a cycle lol...

I POAS for the first time last night, but I didnt really think I was PG.. I have just been having a lot of weird symptoms, and many of them are attributed to PG. So I took one to rule it out. I would be one of those fluke people if I really was! It was kind of cute though, my DH was a little dissapointed. Considering we are not even trying that is cute! Now we are talking about moving up our TTC date! ha ha

I don't regret testing early. Like @ms.janedoe: I knew it was too early, so I wasn't heartbroken by any negatives, just kind shook my head at myself, like, see? You knew it was too early. I do agree that getting that first, too faint to believe it was positive did take a little bit away from the excitement of the real positive the next day though, but no regrets.

For me, the anxiety of thinking about it, like, well, would I get a positive if I tested this morning? was worse than testing, waiting 5 minutes, and moving on. I'd rather know it was negative that morning than wonder and obsess all day. Which is why I bought Wondfos for my second month of TTC. I didn't take a FRER until I already had light positives on Wondfo and dollar store tests.

The one thing I DO regret is taking a dollar store out of the garbage 24 hours later, seeing an evap line and getting way too excited that it might be a BFP. It wasn't, and I knew better and then that disappointment really hurt. Crying over a bottle of wine when my period started hurt. Don't recommend.

See, I never have regretted it. I KNEW it was always early, and I KNEW I had a better chance of a positive if I waited, but...whatever! Hahahah, plus, I got my first suuuuuuper faint positive at 7dpo and then my BFP at 8dpo!

I WAS testing early with Wondfos too, if that makes a difference. If I was using FRERs or digitals, I woulda been a LOT more pissy about it. ;)

I found out early that I was pregnant because I was having symptoms very early and so I took a test.. But even though it was positive it sort of made me worry more, because I knew it was so early on, and then when my dates didn't match my first u/s I definitely worried, but everything turned out fine. Next time I'm gonna not stress and wait for the missed period though!

Yes I have definitely regretted it, I thought it would be so fun and exciting but it ended up being really upsetting. I implemented a rule to wait until a missed period to test (I was very regular). Something about getting AF was less upsetting than seeing the "not pregnant".

Yes I regret it! lol I can't remember now if it was 9 or 10 dpo, but I tested and didn't even get a hint of a faint line. I cried my eyes out and was so disappointed. I told myself I wouldn't test again until I was late, but of course I tested again the next morning and got what I think was the faintest of faint lines. I almost threw the test away before I realized there was something there. I was cautiously optimistic at that point, and then the NEXT day got my BFP. Testing early was not only disappointing, but kind of took away the excitement of getting a convincing BFP. Of course I was still THRILLED, but if I had to do it all over again I would wait. That being said, I know waiting is NOT easy so do what feels right to you. :)

I try to wait until my expected period to test. I don't want to waste tests and I don't want to stress myself out with over testing. I figure testing early does not make me any more or less pregnant lol.

It's hard to wait at times, but I try just to not think about it at all.

I'm so anxious for my TWW to be over - did you test early and regret doing that? I'm a bit worried about myself, emotionally, because I don't want disappointment (even though I know logically it takes time to get pregnant). How did you deal with the anxiety of it?
