You never know what you might regret getting rid of, and you can always sell it later.</p> <p>I left mine at my mom's, since we moved 1100 miles away and I saw no reason to take it right away. She decided to surprise me by paying for one of those services that cleans it and preserves it and puts it in a display box. Unfortunately I wanted to do what @NurseMommy posted, so I was actually pretty upset. She paid way too much for it (and I've read some exposes on them that show how not all companies do what they claim, but since opening the box invalidates any guarantees, you can't know), and she has NO money. So now I feel like I can't open it and do what I wanted once we have kids without hurting her feelings, but I really did not want it preserved like that at all.</p> <p>I think she might have been trying to keep me from doing a trash the dress thing, since I mentioned in passing once that I thought they were neat, and she absolutely refused to believe me afterwards that I had no interest in doing that. </p>
