We embraced our time with her and did as many "fun" things as possible (easier with just one than a newborn and toddler) we also went overboard on Christmas since it was the last solo child one. So I guess yes she got spoiled, and the day before I went into for my RCS we had a mommy/daughter fun day.

@wonderstruck: Agreed! I'd be afraid to give them too much extra attention in fear of retaliation later when #2 gets here.

While I definitely savored cuddle time too, I didn't spoil. It kind of seems like that would make it even more of a reality shock when the new baby comes. I had special time with him and we did fun things, but nothing crazy over the top and not all the time. Plus, like you said, the more demanding thing was a concern too. I tried to make it just business as usual with occasional fun family time. And lots of cuddles!

Not sure where to put this..

I find myself really having to tell myself to not give in to dd these past couple weeks, because I know her world is about to be rocked! Of course I don't want to have a more demanding than necessary three year old on my hands when our newborn arrives. I have been savoring the cuddles and the cute things she does and her being the only though! (Even though I am so so excited and "ready" for ds to arrive in a month or so!)
