Pretty much what the others said. I lost 10 pounds in the first trimester. My morning sickness didn't clear up until 17w. Now at 28w I am up 8 pound from my pre pregnancy weight. I spent a week around 22w eating two breakfasts because my appetite just hasn't come back and I felt like I needed more. I also spent most of my first trimester asleep... I am lucky my job slows down in the summer.

I hope you feel better soon!

Bumping this thread.

I'm not sick and I'm eating when I'm hungry but I've lost a pound or 2 and am not showing at all. I have food aversions so nothing sounds good but I still eat with my DH and ds. I'm just 15 weeks so I guess I'm just wondering when to worry. I gained 35 lbs with my first and was clearly showing at 17 weeks but he's always been big. I was nursing but we stopped about 3 weeks ago

The meds your doctor prescribed are safer than robbing your body of nutrients so I would make sure to take them. It does get better, promise. I had vomiting up into my third trimester with my first, but it wasn't as bad as what I had during my first trimester.

Just echoing a lot of what @lovehoneybee said- I couldn't make myself eat hardly anything until the 16 week mark. I'm now 25weeks, and just hit my pregnancy weight at yesterday's appointment. As long as the baby is growing as normal there is nothing to worry about.

Also, I totally remember feeling like the nausea would never end- I promise it will! And when it does, you'll be hungryyyyyyyy.

Sorry you're not feeling well, I hope it gets better soon!

With J2 I was really sick and lost 26lbs. I pretty much just ate the only things I could stand until the middle of my pregnancy. Bagels were really it. I couldn't even hold down prenatals really. I never gained back the 26lbs even by the end of the pregnancy. My son came out perfect and 9lbs! Your body will rob from you to make sure that baby is taken care of. Rest does help.

I lost weight until about 16 weeks (awful morning sickness), then didn't actually gain anything until about 20 weeks. By the end of my pregnancy, I gained 22lbs total. I measured a little small most of the time, but LO was born at 41 weeks, totally healthy at 7lbs4oz

@spaniellove: Thank you! This pregnancy stuff sure isn't easy is it?

@lovehoneybee: Thank you, I think that is exactly what I needed to hear. I feel like a walking zombie and I am certainly worried about the baby but I feel like such a shell it's hard to even comprehend. I am really glad to know at least someone else has gone through it and had a happy outcome.

I lost 15lbs in the first trimester, and didn't hit my pre-pregnancy weight until like 33wks. My final weight gain total was 19lbs, which was only 4lbs above my pre-preg weight. I had major food aversions to pretty much everything. I was nauseous all of the way through, and threw up a couple times a week until the end. I pretty much lived on peanut butter sandwiches.

We always measured on track, though, so my midwife wasn't concerned. Especially during the first trimester, when everything pretty much sucks. I had no energy for anything. I used to fall asleep in the car all of the time (as a passenger), which I can never do...once while holding a cake! Hopefully once you get into the second trimester you'll start to feel a bit better.

Anyway, I gave birth to a super healthy 8lb, 12oz baby. My midwife told me we were a textbook case of a fetus taking exactly what they need from the mother.

I am 11 weeks pregnant and due to morning sickness I have lost 13 pounds so far. It feels impossible to see a point where I might be able to eat enough to actually gain weight. Even when I am not vomiting a lot on a given day it feels like it takes so long to digest food that I am only able to eat minimal amounts.

I am starting to worry about the ramifications of my horrible nutritional status, lack of calories etc. I just have zero energy, I took a shower and now am back in bed trying to convince myself to dry my hair. I work two part time jobs and my husband basically forced me to quit one and I have cut my hours almost in half at the other.

Any suggestions? I am just at a loss. My doctor is worried and just changed my medication so that I will be layering two different things but I really want to take as little as possible.
