I was very swollen. Huge cankles. I was pregnant in summer in Florida so it was to be expected.

I gained 50+ but didn't swell. It's too early to tell this time around (8 weeks today!) but so far no swelling.

I've gained far less weight than I did with DS this time and only in the past month have I started to swell. My feet are swollen and I can't wear my rings, not even the stunt ring! I have cankles lol and tubby feet.

I think it just depends on the makeup of your body if you swell.

I've had swelling for a few weeks, but it has been the kind that goes away at night and isn't bad every day. Since friday though, my ankles and feet have been super swollen and won't go down no matter what I do.

I haven't been able to wear my e-ring or wedding band for weeks now, so I wear a dummy set and even that gets tight some afternoons. Can't wait to get my non-puffy fingers and toes back! (and ankle bones, too!)

I gained around 30 lbs, and I didn't swell at all. The weather was nice and cool throughout my pregnancy though. I did notice at the very end that my feet and hands would swell a bit on hot days, so I'm betting I would have had more swelling if I was pregnant during the summer.

I did swell up after my labor, but I think that was from the IV fluids that they gave me. It took maybe a week for that swelling to go down.

@katdevargas: Oh congrats only 5 lbs left to lose that is amazing!!!

I definitely think that the more you gain the more swollen you get!

I've only been pregnant the one time, but I gained 60+ lbs & swole up like a toad. I know that's country, but it's the best way to describe it, I think. I had so much water weight that I'd lost 40lbs in the first 10 days after I had lo. I'm 9weeks pp now & am about 5lbs more than my pre-pregnancy weight.

hopefully with future pregnancies, this will not be the norm.

I remember with Mavrick, I gained 30lbs by the end and slowly my feet were getting swollen. Nothing drastic (no cankles) but I do remember being extra swollen as in, it hurts AFTER giving birth for a good 3 weeks.

This time around, I am ZERO swollen. Which I find odd. Maybe it's because I gained less weight? I wonder if I'll swell up after giving birth.

Curious to know how it went for you.
