I took ballet, jazz, modern and hip hop. I danced from age 2 to age 12 at which point I quit because I broke my foot. I hate that I didn't stick with it. I took ballet from age three through most of high school, was on my high school dance team, and was in a hip hop dance group in college. So of course I think enrolling your LO in dance classes is a great idea, but I'm obviously biased. It's definitely not for everyone though, my younger sister locked herself in her room at age 5 so she wouldn't have to go haha. I stopped when I got involved in sports &amp; theatre since it was too much to keep up with. As long as the classes are just for fun, I think they’re great. The school that I went to had some really intense instructors who expected perfection. She told me to choose: piano, or ballet. Oh, and by the way, I already bought the piano! I had DD in ballet/tap at 2yr, and it did not go well at all. She would stand there and do absolutely nothing. There were some little 2 yr olds who just loved being there and twirling away.
