@winniebee: I feel the same way about answers but now I am a little relieved that they may have found the answers to our losses. I feel as though it's a step in the right direction. My HSG and hysteroscopy is Wednesday but then we don't ha e an appointment to review all the results and the plan u til Feb 17th. Good luck to you I hope you get some answers.

We had two miscarriages, then on our third pregnancy we had progesterone tested. It was 24 so we did NOT start supplements. That pregnancy was successful. Then we got pregnant again- progesterone was 11.7- they did not start progesterone- result was another miscarriage. We are pregnant again and progesterone was 12.4 this time and we started progesterone and continued through the end of week 12. We are currently 16 weeks!

@delight: it's funny because I want answers but don't, you know? Hopefully the thyroid issue is the cause for you - that can be regulated quite easily with medication. When do you go back to the doctor?

That's exactly what I did. Tested P first cause I was in the middle of a cycle when I first went to the RE. I haven't had a follow up visit yet to discuss my thyroid and FSH levels yet. I have to have a hysteroscopy this week first. I think there are natural supplements for FSH but I'll see what they say. Good luck to you. I hope you don't get AF but if you do then FX that your CD3 bloodwork is great. And good luck with your P4 tomorrow. Mine came back at 9.8 which was borderline.

@delight: thanks for your input. What can they do about the high FSh? . I haven't had that blood work yet. I'm having progesterone tested tomorrow (day 25 because I ovulate later) and then day 3 assuming I get my period.

We just started seeing a RE for repeat losses. The first thing he did was give me a script for Prometrium. I take it 3dpo-12dpo (longer obviously if I get a BFP). I have a short LP and spot for a few days. Last month was my first month on P and my cycle was a beautiful 14 day LP with no spotting. I had no side affects from the P. I was really hoping that this would be my answer and I'm still hopeful but also just found out I'm hypothyroid and high FSH. Have you had CD3 blood work yet?

@winniebee: I did. I had low progesterone which was possibly linked to my losses.

I started taking progesterone suppositories 1DPO, I believe, and continued taking them through 14w of pregnancy.

@winniebee: I did for G based on having them left from.IUIs and 2 CPs
My RE wasn't pushing it but said if it made me comfortable since my levels dipped a little from 1st beta to 2nd!

@travellingbee: I called my MW to ask these questions if we are TTC should I go back on baby asprin and go in for early blood work for levels if I get a BFP

Yes, I had two early losses and when we TTC again the RE put me on progesterone and baby aspirin.

@Autumnmama79: my doctor was like there's no real proof either way that it helps, but it hasn't been shown to harm either so told me to consider it.

Mine was low with my first pregnancy so I started it then. Then I took it when ttc because it was low again. I'm back on it now because it was super low again post loss.

If it might be an issue for you, I'd encourage you to look into napro. They've done a lot of studies on the role of progesterone in cycles and pregnancy, and the different forms (injections vs suppositories vs oral)

No. Drs here don't ascribe to the progesterone theories. It was pretty frustrating following my 2 loses but I ultimately I trusted them.

I do. My lp was short after my mmc, and my progesterone was low at 7dpo so I started using progesterone after ovulation as a precaution. I know the evidence isn't clear whether progerone can help most people, but I figure it can't hurt. I'm 8 weeks now (although I did have a chemical in nov while on progesterone) and wil wean off it in a few weeks.

Did you take progesterone supplements after having recurrent or multiple losses? If so, after how many losses and how early? I've had 4 losses, all early, but two consecutive healthy kids in between so I feel like I'm in a gray area in terms of what to do when pregnant again. Im having progesterone tested this cycle anyways, but my OB hasn't said what we should do if the progesterone level is normal.
