I was pushing for 5 hours though, definitely spoke more in the beginning... We listened to Pamdora for a little while too. Talked a lot with the nurse about how long pushing can take. The nurse during my first round of pushing told me I couldn't stay pregnant forever. It took all of my concentration to stay focused and on top of the pain. I laid and rested in between each push...and wondered why no one turned the TV off and how weird it was that I was delivering a baby during American Pie 2. As she was crowning, I did ask the doctor if I could close my legs for a bit to rest. I kept looking at the time and saying that I need to call my boss to let him know that I'm in labor. I didn't call him until the afternoon. </p> <p>During the pushing, we really didn't talk about much because they thought that they might need a bigger team of doctors in the room. We didn't. Turns out that's how gorilla babies are supposed to be, but she didn't know that and turned the baby. I was really curious about what color hair she'd have bc it could have been anything and I had a feeling she was going to be born a red head like I was (she wasn't). So that's what we talked about while I pushed and when they did see her hair teased me that it was dark brown like my husbands. Then once she was born and looked just like him I got teased more for not contributing any genes. </p>
