This caused us to completely lose having a "golden hour" because MIL showed up immediately after the baby was handed to us. DH let them know we were heading to the hospital. I was in denial that it was real labor (facepalm, since I got to L&amp;D 10 CM dilated) and it was the middle of the night. My water broke at midnight and she was born at 6:37AM. When we were getting ready to go to the hospital around 3:30 or 4, I said "Babe, I think we should call my parents...." He was like "Um, duh, I got in touch with them two hours ago." Haha. We notified a select particular group of friends in the morning that I was in labor, told them she. The second time, I let them know that my water had broken, and then again when we were headed to the hospital. I was adamant I didn't want visitors until after baby was born but since lo was born at night I didn't have any visitors until the next day.</p> <p>lo2 - I told my mum (so she could be there during labor) and my best friend (to look after lo1). My mom flew into town (I wanted her w me during my labor), my in-laws came to help w our dogs, our friend/neighbor stayed at our apt to wait for our nursery furniture to be delivered...it was a bit of a zoo!
