As long as you take antibiotics, it shouldn't pass to the baby or harm LO at all. Nonetheless, I went on an antibiotic course back then. She told me it was somewhat common and nothing to worry about. It did not harm my baby at all...all they do is (if you get an IV) they just hook in some antibiotics so your baby has less of a chance to get it. Nothing else happened in my case. They test you so early on in pregnancy so I had no idea until well after I had the baby. The only thing is that now it's in your system, so when you have another baby you'll have to have antibiotics in your IV during delivery and the baby may have to be monitored in the NICU after delivery. I believe doctors test around 35-37 weeks of pregnancy. For those that had positive results, did it harm your baby at all? </p>
