DH said I looked pretty funny making a conscious effort to keep my eyes open and face smooth when I was pushing. I was pushing my hardest but nothing was happening, later to find out my body was just not built for the size of DD. When I arrived at the hospital, I was really dehydrated and the nurse had a terrible time finding a vein for my IV. I wanted to make it a good experience for her so I was trying extra hard to not act like a crazy person and make everything go smoothly. I'm a crazy person, I know!</p> <p>Plus DH was having back problems so I told him to sit down while I was pushing because he looked like he was in pain. The nurses looked at me like I was psycho. But, one nurse was pushing on my abdomen and trapping my leg and I was SO annoyed by this. I still had good spirits at that point so I didn't feel like "get this baby out!" but I didn't really care what the nurses thought either. I did it because I wanted to hold my babe! And because they were warning me that we were approaching the 8h mark and the epi would wear off...or they could give me a booster but that booster would make me unable to push because it would make the epi so strong. When I got to the hospital I was 9 cm along, but no one believed that I was so close until they checked me. It seemed like it was taking for.ev.er and I was not interested in changing and signing paperwork... I may have yelled at a few people. They kept telling me to push like I had to poo and when I couldn't do it properly, I apologized. I just wanted to keep hearing them say, "That's it! Keep pushing just like that!" Haha. </p>
