The uneven weight distribution killed my back. I'm hoping when she's big enough for a hip carry it'll get some use. I vastly prefer my stretchy wrap. I made one when DD was about 18 months old and I loved the convenience of it. However, she was older and I used it for a hip carry. I've never used it with a newborn or young infant, so I'm not sure how I would like it in that scenario. I tried one of her ring slings. We are borrowing a moby (which I used and loved with C) and a silly wrap, plus I have a beco for once she is a little bigger. But a RS seems so much easier to use quickly instead of fussing with a wrap. So easy, and I loved how high and cozy I could get her.
