I've read in a few different places that it's better for babies to be exposed to different noises whilst sleeping so that they don't become dependent on silence in order to fall asleep or stay asleep. </p> <p>I don't TRY to make lots of noise when LO is sleeping, but I also don't go out of my way to stifle any noise either. If I need to vacuum whilst she's napping, so be it - it has yet to wake her.
