Not to fall asleep but we put it up when we needed to entertain him so I could use bathroom, get his bath ready, etc. And it helped a lot when he would wake at 6/6:30. I would put it on and he'd lay there for another 30 min - hour looking at it! I really think that it helped him become the happy waker he is. They both love looking at lights when we put them in the pack n play, so it made sense to get them for their cribs. </p>
