We got this when LO was around 2.5 and he's still using it almost 2 years later. He can do without but I'd say he uses it about 75% of the time.

We are keeping our 2 year old in her high chair till her sister needs it (in 5-6 months). We got the oxo tot booster that's just like a seat that we put on our dining chair. She uses it now to sit at the dining room table for arts and craft

We got two bar height chairs for the kids and put them at our normal height table. DS loves climbing so that wasn't a problem and it puts him at the perfect height for eating.

@HappyBaker: we did this. We moved DD to this booster seat at about 16-18 months when she was over the highchair. As all 2 year olds, she's pretty moody as to whether she will sit in it or not. I don't regret the purchase though.

As for this particular seat, I love it because it is easy to clean and doesn't stand out.

ETA: oh yes, the link! https://www.amazon.com/Prince-Lionheart-Soft-Booster-Charcoal/dp/B005ZBHXOA

DS is turning 2 this week and is totally over his fisher price space saving booster seat. He just wants to get in a regular chair by himself. Problem is he's tiny so he has to stand to reach the table. Did anyone buy one of those squishy boosters or something else before moving to a real chair? I don't want to spend the money if he thinks of it as babyish too!
