I found the best thing to heal mine was wearing the Medela Softshells Sore Nipple kit. I looked ridiculous wearing them (don't go out in public with these puppies on your puppies) but it HELPED. I did use the Lansinoh lanolin cream and the breast shells. Those shells look horrible, but they were fantastic at keeping everything from touching my nipples and letting them get some air.
