@MamaBehr: I do have the Softshells as well, so I think I will do double-duty and apply both cream and shells. I saw a lactation consultant, which helped, but my baby still has such a lazy latch!

Eaap! Ripping of skin....sounds so unpleasant! Hope that's a thing of the past for you!

I got some stuff prescribed for me, and never used it. I found the best thing to heal mine was wearing the Medela Softshells Sore Nipple kit. I looked ridiculous wearing them (don't go out in public with these puppies on your puppies) but it HELPED. My biggest issue, beside a horrible latch, was the nipples healing and then the new skin getting ripped off from my shirt or bra.

I used the prescription apno cream, and found that it worked within a day. It was soooo expensive and hard to find, but so incredibly worth it!!

I used a combo of neosporin & hydrocortisone and it worked on my blistered nipples great. I also used soothies religiously! Once they healed I went back to using Medela nipple cream.

Rubbing breastmilk on my nipples and letting it air dry right after I finished nursing worked better than any nipple cream. I did use the Lansinoh lanolin cream and the breast shells. Those shells look horrible, but they were fantastic at keeping everything from touching my nipples and letting them get some air. (Just be careful if you leak)

Yes. I liked the Medela nipple cream. Plus, soothies are the best. The ones that you put in the fridge. Good luck. It is so hard when they hurt! And rubbing a bit of breast milk really helps too.

Just wondering if any of you ladies used this stuff and how long it took to heal your nipples! Did it work for you? I have a few cracks and got an infection twice, so hopefully this stuff will work soon! Breastfeeding hurts so much on the side that is cracked! >_<
