I like her a lot. I wanted to stay with the same practice because of their hands-off approach to GD. I like her and have seen her for years and respect her as a gynecologist and diagnostician, but we have different styles regarding birth. I was lucky she didn't attend the birth of my daughter we differ so greatly. This was just so that I could be at the hospital closer to home.<br /> DS2 - had a different OB near my work again. Switched to OB who delivered DS1 around 22 weeks. Again, due to location. I wanted to deliver closer to home since DH would be going back and forth btwn me and the kids. No big deal :) just signed for the release of my records and that was it. I had a unique situation in which I had 2 miscarriages, then had LO1, then 2 more miscarriages. Once I had my 4th, my OB told me yet again that I was having bad luck and wouldn't refer me to an infertility specialist. I let him know I was going to one with or without his referral, but would appreciate a referral. </p> <p>Turns out I had asherman's syndrome. Had I not insisted, I would have had a 5th miscarriage. I wanted someone who would listen to me instead of brushing me off. The first time we moved across the country when I was 38 weeks pregnant so I obviously had to switch. I loved the practice I went to but then they switched which hospital they delivered at. Since I had only met the doctor a few times, I switched to a different practice to keep the same hospital. Everything went smoothly and the birth experience wAs great! I felt like she blew me off because I was young and "healthy". After switching doctors I found out that I had hashimotos (an autoimmune thyroid condition). I probably would've suffered for a long time if I had not switched. My normal ob no longer does deliveries so with dd, I had to choose someone else at the practice. (The brother of my normal dr actually.) </p> <p>He was really low maintenance which I liked but overall just had a weird vibe. He technically delivered dd, but another doctor from the practice (their niece actually) was there the majority of time I pushed she I had dd first thing in the morning while my doctor arrive.</p> <p>I switched to her for this pregnancy. Funny enough she didn't remember me and she she asked how labor went last time my response was you were there for most of it! The first time was because we moved. But I also switched practices mid-pregnancy with my second (literally, at 20 weeks). I was just unhappy with the first one. I felt like I waited forever only to be seen for 5 minutes, and have my concerns brushed off. I didn't expect to be treated like a snowflake, but some personal attention, ya know? Especially since I was having some complications. I'm SO glad I switched. I love the new practice so much, and I'm a little sad I won't be having more babies with them (only because I'm done!). No regrets at all! </p>
