The first two were without any charting or OPK. I used the digital for month 2 of trying on the third pregnancy. I never got a smiley face, became distraught that something was wrong with me, and then got a positive pregnancy test. At some point I obviously ovulated and the test did not catch it. Took a month off then used the cheap ones from Amazon, got a positive and sure enough, two weeks later I got my pregnancy confirmation. One smiley, on CD18. That's the one that got me knocked up!!!! Mine seem to have a clear pattern of going from basically white to a faint line to a pretty clear positive (that aligns with my CM) and then back down.
