Less for explaining what a potty is and how to use it, and more for being another way to talk about and normalize the process. We keep several around the house. I've seen some potty themed books and am wondering if they've been useful in your potty training. She's 19 months now and will sometimes tell me if she's pooped. I let her watch me go potty so she knows what it is, I'm just not sure that she grasps the concept of what the potty is for. However, I'm also not sure she would sit still long enough to understand a book trying to explain it to her! She mostly just likes to flip through pages of books and point things out (cow! moon! ball!) </p>
