I'd put it on a chair next to me while we were eating dinner, she quickly figured out how to arch her back and practically topple over backwards. I read so many reviews for the Bumbo and felt like it wasn't worth the money. The baby snug comes with a tray and a strap to attach it to a chair. The colored insert is also removable which makes the seat usable for well over the first year. He hated tummy time but would sit in his Bumbo and practice holding his head up. I really think it helped her learn to sit up. I started putting her in it for a few minutes at a time since she was 6 weeks old (her head was still wiggly but she was gaining good neck muscles). And she used every day until she was about 5-6 months old.
