My parents were always busy working and didn't even take the evening off to attend my high school graduation. YES! YES! And I loved it!!! We went to Vegas at least 4x a year, then every summer, my parents took us out of the country based on the previous year's curriculum so that we could see things in real life (like the year I took humanities, we went to Europe), then we went on other vacations in between because my dad traveled a lot while he worked so we got free hotel, or went camping. Once we were a little older, we started having bigger spring break trips--Disney world one year, Hawaii, Washington DC, etc. I think my parents waited until we were older for the big trips because (1) they were more financially secure, and (2) we were old enough to appreciate, enjoy, and actively participate in the trips. We had a few annual vacations- a long weekend of camping at Disney and skiing during spring break. Then we'd always do something over the summer, and little shorter weekend vacations here and there.</p> <p>I wish I could afford to do this stuff with LO, but so far we've only really done camping and little trips.
