@ALittleP: I freaking love it...in teh store anyways lol. The turnaround time is something like 8 weeks, so I still dont have it at home. But the one I sat in at my mall was brand new (theyd gotten it in that day) and it was SUPER comfy. And I tend to find that PB and PBK has great quality furniture if you care for it, so Im not too worried about that. But as soon as I get it, ill let ya know =o)

@LivsMama: I'm considering the wingback rocker from PBK. I like it but am curious to hear from someone who actually bought it - there aren't any reviews on PBK.com! Do you love it? Is it as comfortable at home as it is in the store? Are you pleased with the quality compared to price?

Thanks in advance!

Investment! I used it all through the colic nights and now to wind LO down before placing him in the crib. We're fortunate to be able to use MIL's rocking chair and an Aunty reupholstering the cushions for us. The rocking chair is just the perfect size for baby's room!

@WinnieBee: That's our plan, too, to move the upstairs glider downstairs eventually . . . I figured (since they will be upholstered - and assuming that we do get 2) that they could work in the living room sort of like matching club chairs.

Ugh. This was my one baby purchase regret for sure. Not because of the chair itself-- I LOVE our glider and we'll use it forever (it looks almost exactly like yours! in beige microfiber.) but we spent way too much on it, custom ordering it from a baby furniture store. We still use it every day and will continue after #2 is born, and we plan on moving it to the living room or our bedroom for a reading nook when our kids are older, but we still spent too much on it. We could have gotten something similar for way less if we ordered or purchased from somewhere else. It was one of our first purchases and took like 5 months to arrive..!! I think we spent over $700 on it and the matching ottoman :(

We bought an upholstered glider, too in a neutral color - it was about $600, but it is incredibly comfortable and we plan to put it in a study or office or other room after we are done having children.

@MsLipGloss: Yeah, we have a townhouse. And it would be nice to have on in his room for storytime and rocking at night. As it is, we learned how to breastfeed laying down in bed, and LO sleeps with us, so nights are actually really easy. But it took awhile for both of us to learn how to BF in bed. So, we have the rocker in the livingroom downstairs and that's where I feed him during the day. I also sit in it while he's napping and I'm at my computer, or doing other stuff. I love my chair!

I thought about it getting one and decided not to. There were other things that I needed more than a glider. It's definitely a nice to have. But not a necessity for me at this point.

@Miss-Spunkin: Too funny! My DH actually suggested it. :) But I think it came more from his fear of me climbing steps all the time with butterbean while sleep-deprived . . . and because I actually fell down the stairs a few weeks ago (butterbean was fine, but DH was a little rattled). The bruise was so horrendous it looked like I broke by butt!

If we have the cash, I'd love something like this: http://www.fawnandforest.com/categories/116-modern-rockers-gliders/products/1294-nurseryworks-empire-rocker

We didn't buy one. Several years ago before even thinking of kids, we bought a great overstuffed recliner that rocks, and I pretty much live in it now with the baby. It is so easy to sleep in too (slept for 3 hours in it early this morning). I was afraid I would drop him with a glider.

Not an investment. We already have a la-z-boy that is in our loft/soon to be playroom. I wanted a chair that I could pump and feed in and then sell on Craigslist when I'm done with it. :)

Investment...but we were lucky my Dad got it for us as a gift. Every night time feeding is done in that upholstered glider so it needed to be super comfy. And, one we're done having babies we'll be able to continue to use it since it doesn't really look like a nursery chair.
