We tried around 6/8 weeks but I was so not ready. I had some excess scar tissue removed at 4-5 months pp when I went back to the doctor to see if there was anything I could do to improve the situation. They kept saying how huge the risk of infection was if I so much as took a bath. Also, I was exhausted and that so wasn't happening. I don't actually remember how long we waited, but it hurt SO BAD that then we waited again. I finally discovered my estrogen was really low (my OB actually said "it's like a desert down there"), so then after a couple weeks of topical estrogen, we finally DTD. My stitches never dissolved, so it would've been incredibly painful for both of us if we tried. I had my stitches removed at my 6w appt, and the midwife told me to wait until after my follow up appt at 8w. I honestly wasn't in a rush.
