If we had to go in a store one person would stay in the car with her. When she was about 7 weeks we started going to the store with her very occassionally and I would wear her in the baby bjorn carrier but people kept touching her. DH was especially paranoid and didn't want her in crowds, so we were very careful about that. I didn't need to go to the grocery store anyway. I kept her in the car seat with the visor up and didn't leave her unattended for even a second.
