My mom picked the name thinking it was very unusual, but it ended up being int the top 10 most popular names for many years afterwards. I was always one of the 4 or 5 with my name in every class in school and I always wished I had a more original name! I wasn't even that picky, just wanted to not be the same as everyone else. My mom initially won and got to give me her choice as a first name. But somehow people STILL called me by my middle name (which my dad loved). So, I always hated that. But now, more and more people refer to me by my legal first name because that is how I introduce myself in my adulthood. So, yeah, wish people had always called me my legal first name...
