She nursed the morning of her 1st birthday for the last time. It was both liberating and heartbreaking ... I'm the first person in my family to BF so I was pleasantly surprised we made it to 1 year! LO lost interest in breastfeeding at 10 months. We were only nursing morning and night and he was getting formula throughout the day. My heart just wasn't into starting to pump again at that point to possibly get us over the hump. I know it's not difficult but it can be exhausting. We had trouble leaving her because she wouldn't sleep well without nursing. I didn't plan on weaning this soon but she is 1 so I figured, why not? She doesn't seem to care too much and I hope within 2 weeks we are done completely. </p>
