Instead, my nurse asked if I had brought underwear (as per the list the hospital provided). I'd bought cheap Walmart ones, but ended up wearing them for months.</p> <p>ETA: I used the same pads as Charm54 after the hospital pads ran out. I never used them, but I haven't had any incontinence issues....i just wore my own hip hugger briefs once I was home. Generally, as long as I either washed quickly or preloaded in cold water and used some spray n wash, there was no "ruining" </p> <p>Also, the mesh undies....my hospital had the good kind for LO 1; but switched to an awful, cheap, tiny kind with a wider mesh weave that resembled fishnet stockings. I did use overnight Tena pads (used for incontinence not menstruation) for a few days. After I ran out of the giant hospital pads I used the Tena pads and they were more flexible than the smaller pads from the hospital. </p> <p>But I did have two different nurses bring me two different kinds of mesh undies.
