By the second trimester I could only wear wedges or supportive low heels, and by the third trimester I could only wear flats. My back would hurt at the end of the day if I wore anything higher. My back pain was pretty mild, but totally went away when I stopped wearing heels. I would wear something higher for a special event, but I wore flat sandals for my shower.
