DD1 hated being worn! She would scream and scream until I took her out. DD2 thankfully, likes it! It's the only way DD1 got fed in the early days! Right now DD2 loves facing out!

I babywore my first way beyond the back strength that I had and gave myself a bad back injury. I have much more strength now, but I'll still stop the second it starts to be uncomfortable.

I only carried DS in our Ergo when we flew cross-country. Otherwise, he hated being worn. DD on the other hand LOVES it when we wear her in the Moby. She's still kinda small for the Ergo, but we plan to have her in there once she's big enough. I guess it just depends upon the baby.

@mrsjyw: I could have written this same thing. DS runs hot and just hated the Boba wrap. We got gifted an Ergo360 because he was always dangling backwards in his Boba trying to die/see forward. He will tolerate that but is otherwise just a writhing, hot, sweaty baby and NOT a cuddler. He's not fat but super long so he wants to flail his long limbs everywhere. My mother, however, wears him in the podaegi and he does just fine in it - go figure! I was told by everyone to wear DS 24/7 because he had colic and reflux but he straight up hated it and I didn't figure it out for weeks. Ugh. Maybe our next baby will be a cuddler, but I'm glad I didn't spring for some fancy expensive wrap.

Ergo was the #1 must have baby item with Noelle. I lived in that thing. Expected the same with Jaren, but he hated it! I never baby wore him. But luckily he LIKED to be put down. He preferred the stroller, swing, and rock n play... and I was happy to be hands free!

I feel the exact same way - i never got into baby wearing with LO because she was the opposite - too little! but also started rooting anytime i wore her so i just gave up. but i hope to reverse that the second time - mostly out of necessity! i just can't imagine how you handle a toddler if you DON'T baby wear!

I wore both, but DD I held mostly until we got a Tula (she's 17 mo and never been in a stroller). She hated all the carriers I had for DS (WCRS, WCMT, woven wrap, stretchy wrap, Ergo) and I was hesitant to get another carrier, that to me seemed essentially like my Ergo, which she hated, but honestly the Tula made a world of a difference. Highly recommend it and maybe babywearing just didn't work out the first time around because LO didn't like any of the carriers you had?

Oh definitely! I barely wore LO1, I just didn't need to. But anytime I'm solo parenting, especially when LO2 was a tiny baby, wearing her makes it sooo much easier!

Trips to Target and the grocery store almost require it. If I put the carseat in the cart and LO1 sits in the seat up front, there's no room for the stuff!

I wore the baby more with my second. Its so much easier to have the baby on you while dealing with your older kiddo, walking with a single stroller, etc. So you might get use out of all of your carriers afterall!

DS1 was not into babywearing at all, he was on the bigger side, ran hot, and just overall didn't enjoy it besides a brief period when he enjoyed facing out in a beco (mostly DH) baby wearing him the first summer of his infancy. He did enjoy back carry in a podaegi (korean soft carrier) and still likes piggy back rides at almost 2.5.

I still have the beco, podaegi, and a moby like wrap that DS hated.

Will attempt with DS2 this summer, but I'm definitely not excited about babywearing with our first time experience.
