We borrowed a scale from my SIL and we still use it even thought LO is a year old! Mainly because we are curious and he is a small fry.

No - I had low birth weight babies and considered it for my first because BF was hard. He gained well though so I ultimately thought that it would just make me obsess more.

With my second I didn't really worry even though he started out just as small. He was a great nursery and I knew it had turned out fine with our first!

No, but we luckily never had any weight issues with LO (95%) so I didn't feel the need.

I just weighex myself on a bathroom scale and then weighed myself while holding her. I just wanted to know when she weighed enough for the SSC so I could wear her.

Yup! We bought one at BRU and I loved it. One of the most helpful items we had!

I knew LO 3 was going to be born a month early and I had access to a free rental for a couple of months. I got lazy and never placed my order!

No. We have struggled with low milk supply and slow weight gain and I thought about it many many times but in the end decided it would make me even more crazy to have access to a scale at home.

Yea I bought a scale to do weighted feeds. I was really paranoid because I thought I had low supply but the first few LCs I talked to said no (but turns out I TOTALLY DID). Sigh. Scale turned out to be useless bc it wasn't really sensitive enough and LO moved too much. Should've just trusted my gut that things were not okay.

We used one from our LC's office at home too for about the first 6 weeks. We were trying to figure it how much they were getting in order to determine an amount for supplementing. Also, they didn't get back over birth weight until almost a month so it gave us peace of mind to know they were gaining little by little.

I didn't with LO1, but I bought a baby scale for LO2. It put my mind at so much ease that she was gaining and I didn't have near the breastfeeding paranoia that I had with LO1!! It's still kind of fun to weigh her and see how much she's gained.

When our lo was born, she lost weight for a month after birth. I finally met with a lactation consultant who suggested weighing her before and after each feeding to see how much milk she was getting from me. It was really eye opening and helped us figure out the breastfeeding struggle we were experiencing.

We knew we wouldn't need it long term so we rented a scale from the LC.
