We did not each write our own, nor did we write them from scratch. But we did research a bunch of vows we found online and frankenstein'd together vows for us both to say that we liked. Then as all the guests went to cocktail hour, we took half an hour for ourselves privately (no photog or anything) and read each other private vows.
