She preferred the Vtech when she was younger, but now (17 months) she prefers the FP one because she loves pushing her stuffed animals and baby doll around in it. It's just that some push toys like the ones we have are not as steady as the vtech or wooden ones you mentioned. Also, I did use a traditional walker. It was used more as a baby holder because my son didn't really ever "walk" in it. DS loves those things and has been playing with all of them since he could walk. He's 2 now.
