Induced at 37.5 weeks because of pre-e. Ultrasound showed he was in the 0th percentile for growth, and he was in the NICU for a little over a week. Good luck!

Miss G was born at 36+5 and was a good healthy weight BUT she needed some oxygen after birth and had trouble feeding/sucking. She was in special care for 7 days.

My LO was born at 37 weeks exactly but they started inducing me at 36.6 (also due to pre-e). She had some jaundice and was on a blue light for a few days, but otherwise totally fine. They did have a NICU team present at delivery to evaluate her lungs but she did fine.

Keep in mind if they have you on magnesium baby may be a little sleepy & a lazy nurser at first, but that will go away within a few days.

I'm a NICU nurse and I think it is dependent on so many things whether a 37 weeker needs time in the NICU. Basically it usually depends on whether they need any oxygen and if they're a sleepy feeder. Some 37 weekers are totally full of energy and good to go and some take a bit longer to catch on!!

DS was born at 37 weeks exactly. No nice time for him, though a nicu pediatrician came to take a quick look at him because he was gurgling a little bit when he breathed. It was no big deal, they just wanted to be safe.

Yes BUT it was because I had a fever when I was finally sent down for my c section. So they sent him to the NICU in case of infection.
I probably shouldn't have said yes in the poll, since it wasn't because he was 37 weeks. He was a healthy 7lb7oz. Sorry!

My second was born at 37.2 and they brought the nicu team in for delivery, but she was good, so they didn't even assess her. ( I don't think.)
