It's pretty curly when it is on the longer side. But we keep it fairly short so you can't really see the curls. The front does get wavy. I myself have wavy hair that holds a curl really well - my hunch is that theirs will turn out the same as the hair grows out more and weighs down the curl. She’s 6 now and has gorgeous curls! They loosen up in cool dry weather, especially when it’s been a few days since we washed it, but freshly washed and in the summer it’s beautiful ringlets. It’s almost halfway down her back now (longer when wet and straight). I LOVE her curls. I have straight hair but my sister has curls. One (6 yo) now has wavy hair that tends toward straight (I think if she washed and styled every day we could get it to be wavier). Her curls started falling out around 4.
