DD1 hasn't napped since 3y or so, has been doing full-day preschool 5 days a week, and won't have to get up any earlier for kinder (it doesn't start til 9:25a). So the only big change is that school will be new and (I assume) more academic, so she may be more emotionally tired as she adjusts?</p> <p>I'll be interested to see what happens. She goes to bed at 8p, currently. He doesn't go to bed until 9:00-9:30 unfortunately but he still takes a nap at daycare so I think that's why. Kid hasn't taken a nap at home since 2.5 but at 5.5 naps at daycare! She was full of energy at pick up every day and goes to bed at the same time. We're doing a bilingual program so it must've been tiring listening to a foreign language, too. DS1 has been in full day (830-330) jr. K at his montessori school all year and I'm wondering if there will be a difference in how tired he is? I'm guessing yes, b/c of the fact that he will be taking the bus....and it will be a different environment. </p> <p>Was this your experience? Even if your kiddo had been in all day daycare/prek? </p>
