Around 8-9 months my LOs really got into it. Every day I have a new video on my Timehop of them busting a move a year ago. The baby wiggles are the best!

She's been obsessed with music for as long as I can remember. I'd say at least since 6 months. I can remember she'd be in her bouncer/jumper thing and a song would come on and she'd freak out and start smiling and bouncing really fast haha. Now at almost 2 music is basically her favorite thing.

DD won't do anything on command yet. But she loves to get up and dance to her toys that make noise/music at 9 months. She also loves her bell toys.

Yes! Both of my kids loved it, especially from ages 1-2...they would/will bust out and shake it whenever music comes on. So cute!

@youboots: we didn't choose. DH has a pretty eclectic taste so we always played a lot of different kinds of music. We just started noticing that a certain song would stop their crying. For dd1 it was ACDC thunderstruck hahha and dd2 it was ooh child by the starship troopers a la Guardians of the Galaxy.

Both LO's have been really into it between 1.5-3. LO1 kind of grew out of it since he turned 3 but he will try to sing songs now which he never used to do. He just doesn't normally get as excited and dance any more.

We started taking DD to a "baby jam" circle around 3 months. She's always been drawn to music and danced as soon as she could stand, upright. Now, at 2.5, I definitely think music is one of her passions. She has a few wooden musical instruments, and DH has made her cardboard guitars and drums. She is regularly rocking out. We take her to a good amount of live music, and she loves it.

Both girls have always loved music. They each had their songs as babies that were guaranteed to stop a colicky crying spell. Now at almost 4 and 19 months, dance parties are a regular occurrence and often requested!

I'm not sure if T and her interest of music and 'dancing' are typical or not. She's a year I the last 6 weeks or so anytime music comes on the smiles and moves around (even when it's just to signal that the oven is preheated). If we ask her to dance she will grin and shake around. When did your child display this kind of behavior? I'm not sure if this is typical or if this is her first real interest and should be doing more to encourage her. Not sure what else could really do, but I'm sure I could grab another music making toy. It's just really fun and sweet to see her having a good time.
