Last year they had a full blown teatime or something with mom. I had to get there at 3:30pm, pick him up early, sat in the rooftop while they had activities of making flowers for mom and whatever. I didn't know anyone and no one talked to me. It was awkward and awful. Then we left at 4pm. For an hour we got to come to school and meet with the teachers. The kids had a craft and decorated cookies. It was really nice. Then they had chairs and little tubs of water for a foot washing exercise. Each mom got their own scrub brush with a kinda polishing stone on one side and a brush on the other with a nice long wooden handle. The kiddos washed their mom's feet, rinsed them, then rubbed lotion into them and poured the water out of the tubs ( it was like an inch ). It was a really neat thing to see and experience. </p> <p>This year they just gave us a hand scrub/soap that they made in class at pick up. I always wish they had some kind of grab-and-go option first thing in the morning, as I typically have to be at work at 8 AM and usually am disappointed to miss the festivities. </p> <p>This year, I decided to request off and attend the brunch and it was so lovely to get an extra visit with LO! We had kind of a rough morning so it was nice to be together and enjoy our time. I was worried she would struggle as I left, but she just went right back to her classroom without issue. I had a great time with her. </p> <p>Did your daycare/school(s) have any Mother's Day events this week? </p>
