They did help a lot. They actually were watching for signs of readiness and would offer the potty and let DD sit on it when she wanted to. But it was totally a "follow the child's lead" type approach. When we decided to do the 3 day potty training approach, we just let them know and it was only training panties from them on at day care after that.

Sort of. The daycare DD attended started really focusing on potty training in the 2 1/2-3 year old room; before that point they would randomly (at least it seemed to me) have them sit on the potty at diaper change time. We took DD out of the daycare before she moved to that room and put her with a private sitter (couldn't afford 2 in daycare). DD decided that she was ready to use the potty the 24hrs I was in the hospital having DS. Our sitter was helpful in it.

No but only because I potty trained my son at 19 months. Usually our daycare doesn't start working with them on potty training until they move up from the toddler class which is around 2+. If I had waited, I'm sure they would have had more involvement in the initial stages. We instead kept DS home for a week to potty train and they daycare helped us keep it up once he returned.

Nope. Our daycare preferred to wait until 3 to potty train, so they were... resistant to us potty training DD at 18 months. It was one of the only things I didn't like about our daycare.

I talked to a few of my friends who told me not to stress about potty training because daycare will play a big part and get them into a routine. I asked the director about this and she says most of the girls are potty trained by 22 months in the toddler room.

Did your daycare help potty train your LO?
