Doc said the 1 hour is made to be taken after food, the 3 hour is made for fasting. After you drink the juice, you can't eat or drink anything for that hour before they draw your blood. I didn't think they wanted your fasting before the 1 hour because they want to see how your body processes the glucose normally. I had a big lunch full of carbs two hours before and still passed it. I had one with LO1 and 3 with LO2. The hour ones weren't bad, but my 3 hour one was hard. My test was at 3 or 4 pm so there's no way I could have fasted. My OB told me to eat before the test, so I wouldn't be sicker with all of that sloshy sugar on an empty stomach. For LO1 I fasted for 12 hours and still failed (but passed 3 hour). for LO2 I just fasted for 2 hours before the test, still failed it, but passed the 3 hour again. </p>
