It definitely changed things but I don't feel like it did everything. We had him 4 days later. It separates the bag of waters from the cervix and releases some hormones that promote labor. Typically, it's most successful if done multiple times, or if the woman already has pre-labor signs (starting to dilate/efface, contractions, etc...).</p> <p>With DD, I had it done at 37 and 38 weeks; I had DD at 39 weeks.
