Only right when I first got it. The turned me on my side and gave me some O2 and it was fine within a few seconds.

Yes - they were really concerned about me and my BP the entire induction but kept telling me that all DD's readings looked textbook perfect. As soon as I get the epidural, DD's heart rate quit cooperating and we decided to take me back to the OR for a c-section.

With my first I got one after I'd been at 8 for awhile so I was having very strong very frequent contractions. They stopped for awhile after I got the epidural and I think baby fell asleep. Her heart rate became too steady so they put me on oxygen and I kept trying to move around to get her heart rate back fluctuating enough that they wouldn't worry. With my second it wasn't a problem.

With my first, no. My water broke without contractions and so they had me come in after 5 hours to get things going with Pitocin. I got an epidural early with no complications or complaints.

With my second it's hard to say. They took forever getting it to me, and I progressed so quickly that it didn't kick in until delivery. (No one was listening when I said I felt like I needed to push because I had been 5cm when they checked me 30 minutes earlier.) So her heart rate dropped, but that's also because she was already in the birth canal, and it obviously didn't prolong labor.

I got an epidural, but DD's heartrate was already messed up from before the epi so I won't know if it had anything to do with it (FYI, I was induced and I think the cord was around her neck).

T's heart rate kept plummeting off the monitor. they broke my water to stabilize him. I also got an epidural (which lowered my BP). Not quite the same, but his heart rate wasn't a problem when i got an epidural

Not even a little bit. In fact, his heart rate never dipped even after 3 hours of pushing.

I'm due in Jan. I was leaning towards getting an epidural when I'm 5cm dilated or so. However, my LO was recently diagnosed with a heart arrythmia, and I've read that epis can affect the baby's heart rate (via the mom's blood pressure...?). I'm wondering how common this is..... I'll be asking my OB on Wednesday, but I figure I should ask the Bee too :)
