We all ate breakfast together and then after everything was washed and put away, my parents would sit on the couch to read the paper and I would read the comics section or the TV guide to see when my shows were coming on.</p> <p>If I eat breakfast alone at home, I check my emails and surf the internet with my phone. If I'm with someone, I don't. We have a "no phone" rule during meal times.
