My grandma was really big on proper manners and drilled it into me from a very young age so I still follow all the proper etiquette. No elbows on table, proper utensil positioning, napkin in lap, crossing legs at the ankles when wearing a dress, etc.</p> <p>The only outdated thing that my grandma (and mom) harp on to this day is wearing stocking/nylons. If I'm in a dress, they always ask if i'm going to wear nylons with it. The only ones I remember are my grandma telling me to never go out in public with curlers in my hair unless I had a kerchief on over them and she also told us that ladies don't sweat, they glow.
