It's actually awesome. We have used pacifiers from day one and have had no issue with breastfeeding.</p> <p>I was talking to a friend of mine recently who is a pediatric resident at a children's hospital. They don't recommend pacifiers until after 4 weeks if you are planning on breastfeeding. They make it clear in the paperwork that if you want your baby to have one, you have to provide it. I was surprised they took such a firm line on the subject! I remember reading one of Mrs. Yoyo's blog posts that mentioned Nuk pacifiers...I made DH stop at Target on our way home and I hobbled in to buy a few packs!</p> <p>I will definitely bring pacifiers to the hospital when I have Baby 2!</p> <p>Did your hospital provide pacifiers? </p>
