The issue is that we have 2 cats and one of them is on (important life sustaining) medication every 12 hours. This makes it really hard to just have a friend stop by to feed them because it's not super easy to give him his pills and none of our friends have ever done it before. Also the cats have extreme fear of the car and I literally don't think the sick cat's heart could handle a two hour trip (there, then another 2hr trip back).</p> <p>And no, I don't care at all if he is there. I mean I'd like to have company for the weekend because I don't love being away from him for 36 hrs and sleeping alone for 2 nights (I think it would be rude to my mom to cut my visit short just bc he couldn't come, she has put a ton of time into this shower and I want to hang out with her as planned). But I'm much more concerned about our families thinking it is rude that he didn't show. I don't think people would have cared if he didn't show up. I did enough thanking and socializing for both of us! </p>
