@grizz: I think our LO's are around the same age (my son is almost 14m) and he just started doing this too!!! He's been standing for months and can get up/down on his own so I know he's not "stuck".

My husband has had some success laying him back down again and again until he falls asleep but I haven't been so lucky! He's ended up in our bed a lot lately.

Nope. His birthday party was yesterday, though, and he was so ready for bed (we all were...) I don't think he woke up at all either, which is rare.

Zuma laid right down. The only issue was she took a nap and woke up a half hour before bedtime. Which usually isn't an issue for her but I'm crossing my fingers she sleeps til her normal time!

@grizz: E finally figured it out and got past it. It took a couple weeks, though. :( We just went in and laid him back down. He'd pop right back up again, so we'd stretch out the time between when we'd walk back in there. After awhile, he'd be so tuckered out that he'd sit and cry, then he'd fight to sit up and sleep, then he'd fall over and sleep. Took forever. I hope C gets it quick!

@autumnlove: Did it go away on its own, or do you happen to know any tricks? This was day 3 of doing this for every nap and at bedtime.

DS gave me a hell of a time. I thought we were going to skip the standing up in the crib and screaming phase, since everyone his age seemed to do that MONTHS ago.
Nope! It's his new trick. We fought for 2 hours to get him down. Send tequila!

DS has been crying for hours! We went to my sister's baby shower today and he didn't nap well, got overheated and overtired. He cried the whole time on the hour drive back to my sister's house and has been super cranky ever since. And he is usually my lowkey twin. He's nursing now and I think he is finally settled down.

LO 1 tried several stalling tricks and whined/screamed/cried for 8 long minutes before she fell asleep.

LO 2 gave us no issues at her bedtime but she woke up 30 minutes later when she heard her sister screaming. I had trouble getting her resettled so I nursed her back to sleep.
