LO1 yes, LO2 no. LO1 screamed for weeks. Nothing made her happy. Sometimes DH and I just look at LO2 and laugh at how easy he is in comparison. I had to hold LO2 all day and all night for 8 weeks and nurse 12-16x a day. He wasn't exactly easy by most people's definition but at least I could soothe him which I never could with LO1.

Dd1 no, DD2 yes... Nothing worked. The only thing you could do was just bear it. It was a long 3.5 months then she was a frequent grump for another 3. Now she's happy as a clam though at 10 months!

Yes, both. Worse with the first, but I think had I not had the tricks up my sleeve for the second (white noise, Baby K'tan, and a knowledge that it would end) it would have been even harder with him. First had a cow's milk protein allergy and a soy intolerance, second had MSPI. I pray that any future babies don't have these issues. Colic sucks.

Yes, both were brutal. #1 was way worse than 2. Swaddling and the 5s were a joke and utterly useless in my house.

Thankfully no! We had our issues but fussiness wasn't really one of them.

Just one of ours had colic: our first. Harvey Karp's book really helped us through it. Our second kiddo already had the 5 S's going on when he seemed to be reaching the witching hour. Our second also has no problem farting. LO #1's colic was around gas issues too.

Was your LO colicky? Was it the same for all babies?

Just curious for a friend who was asking what the "stats" are when it comes to newborns with colic and figured I'd poll my lil circle of HB mamas.
