@MrsB2012: I can totally see that happening! It does seem like the more I wear him the less he fusses, so maybe I just need to wear him on more of a regular basis.

@catomd00: We tried it once on our last trip, but we ended up boarding the plane shortly after getting him in there, so he wasn't there long. I think I'll start doing a back carry on some walks around the neighborhood.

I put T in his Ergo the other day at 12 months. I was sorting clothes and found it. We stopped using it a lot around 7 months. He just looked at me like...what are you doing? Not impressed haha.

I put him on my front though. I didn't use it enough to practice being able to put him on my back by myself. I'd say he would like that though. We plan on using it this spring when it warms up enough to go hiking.

LO1 was over it by 9 months or so. LO2 still enjoys it when we're out and about at 16 months. He prefers front carry and get upset with back carry though.

I agree with the others that a back carry is fun for them as they get older. I didn't start doing that until c was over a year though- it was just so much easier to get her on my front. Now she comes up and holds onto my shoulders to get on, but she was almost a year and a half before we worked that out.

Have you tried back carry? It's the only thing dd will tolerate now that she's bigger. I think it is more fun and different so she's cool with it for a while!

I think it's pretty common for them to go through phases of not loving it. I'd keep wearing to keep him used to it.
B is worn all the time, she doesn't tend to fuss about it. Though my husband would take her out of the carrier sometimes and then put her on his shoulders. She started to expect that from him, so she'd start to fuss in the carrier, but only on him. Once he stopped doing that, she stopped trying to get out.

DS is only 7 months, but he seems like babywearing more and more. He's really into it now that I wear him on my back.

C is 19 months and had pretty much always like it, from a few weeks old. We have done it almost daily since that's how I walk the dog in the afternoon, so it's just a part of life for now. I'm glad she likes it because it's the only way we've gotten around with so much snow that the stroller couldn't get through.

My 22 month is sooooo over it and has been for awhile. If she's up, she says "walk? Walk?" And points to the ground. I wore her at Christmas when she was sick and today at the airport despite huge tantrums because there was no way to get through the airport otherwise. Sometimes I can get 10 min of wearing out of her, but she's just over it. She wants to walk and hold our hands and that's about it. She's also not a huge stroller fan anymore. Girl wants to walk

Mine is 16 months an. I still wear her. She likes my back so she can see. When she was sick last week, I wore her on my front and that calmed her.

LO is 9 months. He loved being worn in the Solly wrap when he was a tiny thing, but once he was out of the sleepy newborn stage and we had to move to the SSC (we have a Beco Gemini), he wasn't so into it (fussy and squirmy). I could never really tell if he didn't like that carrier or he just didn't like being worn.

So between about 2 months and now, I haven't really worn him a whole lot. Maybe a couple times a month and when we travel. He tolerates it, but we usually have to use the pacifier and I have to keep moving. It doesn't seem to matter whether he faces in or out.

I really enjoy the convenience of wearing him, but I don't know whether to press on or just give up.

Anyone else's LO like this? Did they eventually enjoy it? or did you just give up? Any tips/ideas/insights?
