It takes so much time, and DD didn't really seem to appreciate any of the gifts until we got home. It was more like "oh look, a shirt- oh look, a toy, oh look, this, that etc". I haven't been to many childrens' parties and showers are much fresher in my memory. Do kiddos normally open presents while guests are there or wait until they leave? His party is next weekend and I want to do whatever is in good taste. I in no way want people to feel that a present was a requirement (I started to put no gifts on the invite but thought that might put some of my family off). Anyway, what did/will you do? For reference,it'llbe about 20 people, half being family. </p>
